My intention with this shot was to create a portrait of a sax player outdoors at night in New York City. For the sake of authenticity I thought it would be important to cast a real sax player. I wanted the styling to reflect that 60’s R&B look so we went to a costume house and selected what i thought was the perfect wardrobe. The sax player is standing on a huge rock in Central Park with me facing south as dusk falls over the city.
