I was recently commissioned by model Lauren Noble to shoot studio portraits of her and her 3 year old daughter Chase. This is the one shot where she was actually calm. Shooting kids is never easy but we did end up with some really great shots.

Award Winner

My image of Jim from my Hardhat Series was just awarded a silver in the Fabrik Portrait of America Awards. The image will be on exhibit a the Fabric Projects Gallery in Los Angeles  from 11/23-12/14  and published in a Winners book. Shot on 5th Avenue and 30th street in NYC.

I just returned for a fly fishing trip to Montana with old friends. While there I made this portrait. This man has a great face . . . talk about character.

Photography After Stonewall at Soho Photo Gallery

After my presentation last week at the Soho Photo Gallery I was asked if i would include two of my Neo-Burlesque photos in the gallery’s Photography After Stonewall show opening on Tuesday June 4th. They chose the two images above. The show will be up of the month of June.

I originally shot this portrait in color eleven years ago for Getty Images. I just rediscovered it and was curious to see what it would look like in black and white. Using Topaz software I made the conversion and really am pleased with the results. I just entered this into Lens Culture’s Black and White Awards.
