I don’t think one would think of Half-Drag in terms of a business publication but here it is in Business Insider from this past September.

Last night I attended the GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Art Auction where I donated my Half-Drag portrait of Heid Glüm to help raise money for the organization. I’m happy to say that the photo, which was a signed open edition 12×18″ print sold for $800. This was $200 more than the value that i placed on the piece. The was was a silent auction and the bidding was hot and heavy during the last 15 minutes with 3 prospective buyers battling down to the wire. I was pleased that I was able to help raise money for a great cause.
This is one of the last portraits I did for my Neo-Burlesque series. Here we have Kat Mon Dieu doing her best to bring back Marilyn.
This is my newest Half-Drag shot now available for purchase as a 16 x 24″ poster print with many others for only $49. at http://lelandbobbe.zenfolio.com/ .
Half-Drag is now on the French website Fluctuat a website about pop culture and web culture which is part of Premiere, a national monthly magazine about cinema. This also includes an interview.
Half-Drag has made it to Chezchoslovakia in the online newspaper Aktualne.
Nice full page story in St. Louis Magazine about my Half-Drag Project and current exhibit at the PHD Gallery in St. Louis. Yes, that’s a real paper magazine!
I was recently looking through some of my imagery from my Neo-Burlesque project and found this image that I shot when I shot Madame Rosebud. Since it didn’t really fit in with the portraits I was doing I never really showed it before but I think it’s a very strong image and decided to share it. Enjoy . . .
This is my new portrait of fashion stylist Vava Marevicheff-Ignatenko. I saw a shot of her on Facebook which looked pretty cool and asked if if she would be into having a portrait shot. We did a few different things but this was my favorite. Ya gotta love that hair . . .
My image of Miss Fame was used by the ad agency McCann in an interesting blog about Brad Pitt doing perfume ads for Chanel. The article goes on to discuss the use of males to sell beauty products to women which seems to be a new phenomena. Interesting subject . . .
