My image titled Snow Bench has just won its second award. Previously acknowledged by American Photography 26, this time it won an honarable mention in the ASMPNY Image 10 national competition. This image was shot on a freezing cold windy morning on the shore of Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania.

I’m very pleased to announce that my “Neo-Burlesque” Book Proposal just won a first place People’s Choice Award in the 2010 PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris in the book category. This is Narcissister!!! one of the most recent portraits from my project.
A quote from Narcissister!!!:
“I really love to confront issues through my work that are much broader than what I personally might have experienced. I bring aspects of myself, my history, my ethnic background and myself to the work. I try to portray different characters in the way an actor might. I really want to speak about universal issues for women and I feel the mask is a neutral face that enables me to be much more universal.”

‘Texas Cop’ was honored in the third Photography Masters Cup, an international award for color photography. I found him at a fast food joint while on a Texas road trip. He was a pretty intimidating character but I mustered up the courage to ask him if I could take his portrait. To my surprise he said yes.
