It’s been a a few weeks since my last blog as I’ve been busy making prints for the Museum of the City of New York of my 70’s NYC street photography followed by a week’s vacation.

I recently had the pleasure of shooting guitar player Carlos Alomar for my Unsung Heroes project. Carlos is best know for his collaboration with David Bowie having played on more Bowie albums than any other musician. Carlos has also collaborated with Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Simple Minds. Iggy Pop and The Pretenders. A wonderful guitar player and a wonderful man.

I recently did an interview with art consultant Marla Hamburg Kennedy which was just published to her Art and Living blog. Through answering these questions I actually realized a few things about some of my favorite photos that I had never really thought about before. Each one of these 3 photos has the juxtaposition of being stuck and having time move on at the same time. Please read the interview to see more.

Creative Boom, an art, design, photography and culture website is featuring my portraits of Musicians over the age of 50. I’ve really been enjoying capturing the essence of these musicians in black and white after years of shooting primarily color. It’s taking me back to my roots.
